  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 c. pecan halves
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Directions

    Grease a foil-lined baking sheet.

    Melt butter in a 10-inch skillet over medium heat.

    Stir in pecans and sugar.

    Cook 7 to 9 minutes, stirring constantly, until sugar is syrupy and golden brown and nuts are toasted.

    (Candy thermometer will register 300°).

    Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.

    Immediately spread candy mixture in a thin layer on prepared baking sheet.

    Sprinkle with salt.

    Cool completely, then break into small nut clusters.
