Impossible Green Bean Pie

Ingredients

  • 8 oz. fresh cut green beans
  • 1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms, drained and cut in slices
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1 or 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1 c. shredded Cheddar cheese (4 oz.)
  • 1 1/2 c. milk
  • 3/4 c. Bisquick baking mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper

Directions

    Heat oven to 400°.

    Lightly grease a 10 x 1 1/2-inch pie plate. Cover and cook beans in 1 cup water and 1/2 teaspoon salt until done or tender, about 5 minutes; drain.

    Mix beans, mushrooms, onion, garlic and cheese and put in pie plate.

    Beat remaining ingredients until smooth.

    Pour into pie plate.

    Bake until golden brown and knife inserted in center comes out clean.

    Bake for 30 to 35 minutes.

    Let stand for 5 minutes before cutting.
