- 4 oz. butter
- 6 oz. flour, sifted
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1/2 oz. gelatin
- 1 pt. whipping cream
- 1 jigger whiskey
- 4 oz. sugar
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 pt. brewed coffee
- grated chocolate or nuts
Directions

1Beat butter and 4 ounces sugar until white and creamy.

2Add beaten eggs and mix together.

3Mix in flour.

4Pour into oblong baking pan and bake at 325° for about 50 minutes.

5Turn onto wire rack and cool.

6Make coffee.

7Add gelatin, brown sugar and whiskey and pour evenly over cake.

8Chill about 1 hour.

9Spread the whipped cream over cake.

10Decorate with grated walnuts.
