- 1/2 doz. eggs
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. salt
Directions

1Separate egg whites and put in a large bowl.

2Put yolks in small bowl. Beat whites first. Sift 1/2 cup sugar in slowly after the whites start to thicken.

3Beat yolks with 1/2 cup sugar and vanilla.

4Pour yolks into white. Do not beat.

5Fold in (turn spatula or wire whisk over and under).

6Egg whites have to stay fluffy. With flour in sifter, sprinkle over batter and fold.

7Pour batter into ungreased tube pan (line with wax paper).

8Bake 1 hour in a 350° oven. Remove from oven and invert pan immediately to cool.
