- 1 3/4 c. self-rising flour
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. oil
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 c. blackberry jam
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. nutmeg
- 1 tsp. allspice
- 3 eggs
- 1 c. chopped pecans
Directions

1Beat eggs.

2Add sugar and oil.

3Mix well.

4Sift all dry ingredients together.

5Add half dry mixture to eggs, sugar and oil; beat well.

6Mix in buttermilk.

7Add remaining ingredients. Add jam; mix well. Fold in pecans.

8Pour into two 8-inch greased and floured pans.

9Bake at 350° until cake springs back when touched.
