  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 1 c. cocoa
  • 2 c. sugar

    Add cocoa and sugar together.

    Sift flour 3 times.

    Add jam to flour; mix well and then put other ingredients in.

    Makes two 9-inch layers. Bake at 350° until a toothpick comes out clean.
