  • 1 c. margarine
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 2 tsp. allspice
  • 3 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 c. raisins
  • 1 c. nuts
  • 1 c. jam
  • 1/4 c. grape juice

    Add soda to buttermilk and set aside.

    Cream margarine and eggs.

    In separate bowl, mix all dry ingredients, then add to creamed mixture and mix with buttermilk.

    Mix well and add jam, nuts and grape juice.

    Mix well.

    Makes 3 layers or 1 tube pan. Bake for 1 hour and 30 minutes at 325°.
