- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 1/2 c. flour
- jelly (any flavor)
Directions

1Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy; add eggs and vanilla.

2Stir well.

3Add flour, a little at a time, mixing well. Pinch off a walnut-sized piece of dough.

4Roll in floured hands to make a smooth ball.

5Place on lightly greased pan.

6Use thumb to make depression in center of cookie and fill with jelly.

7Bake at 350° for 12 to 15 minutes (until jelly is bubbly, but don't let edges get too brown).

8Makes approximately 3 dozen.
