Kahlua Creme Brulee

Ingredients

  • 8 egg yolks
  • 2 c. half and half
  • 2 c. heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. Kahlua

    Bring half and half, cream and sugar to boil, then remove from flame.

    Let cool.

    In bowl, lightly whisk yolks while slowly adding sugared creme.

    Add Kahlua; remove any froth from the top.

    Ladle mixture in ramekins and bake approximately 20 to 25 minutes at 325° in water bath, lightly covered with foil (they are ready when bounce to touch).

    Refrigerate until completely cooled.

    Cover top with coating of sugar and caramelize.

    Serve immediately.
