- 4 c. sliced, pared tart apples
- 1/4 c. orange juice
- 1 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
- dash of salt
- 1/2 c. butter
Directions

1Mound apples in buttered 9-inch pie plate. Sprinkle with orange juice.

2Combine sugar, flour, spices and salt.

3Cut in butter until mixture is crumbly.

4Sprinkle over apples.

5Bake at 375° for 45 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is crisp.

6Makes 6 servings.
