- 2/3 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 tablespoons lime zest
- 2 tablespoons key lime juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- GLAZE
- 2/3 cup confectioners' sugar
- 1 -2 tablespoon key lime juice
Directions

1In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.

2Add eggs; mix well.

3Add lime peel, juice and vanilla; mix until combined.

4Combine the flour, baking powder and salt; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.

5Fold in walnuts.

6Transfer to two greased 9-in. x 5-in. x 3-inch loaf pans.

7Bake at 350° for 50-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.

8Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks.

9Combine glaze ingredients; drizzle over warm bread.
