- 1 1/2 c. oleo
- 6 1/2 qt. unsalted popped popcorn
- 2 c. dry roasted peanuts
- 2 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. soda
Directions

1Pour 1/2 cup melted oleo into large baking pan.

2Add popped corn and nuts.

3Combine remaining oleo, sugar, syrup, vanilla and salt in a large pot and boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.

4Continue boiling 5 minutes.

5Remove from heat.

6Stir in baking soda.

7Pour over corn mixture.

8Mix lightly.
-
9Bake at 250° for 1 hour and 30 minutes (STIRRING EVERY 15 MINUTES).

10Makes about 7 quarts.
