Kona Crusted Steak

Ingredients

  • 13 cups Sugar
  • 1 cup Ground Kona Coffee, Decaffeinated
  • 1/4 cups Parmesan Cheese, Grated
  • 1/4 cups Dry Mustard
  • 1/4 cups Granulated Garlic
  • 1 Tablespoon Fresh Ground Black Pepper, Coarse
  • 2 Tablespoons Lawry's Seasoned Salt
  • 4 whole Steaks, I Prefer Sirloin, But This Is Great On Any Steak

Directions

    Combine all ingredients, excepts steaks, in a bowl; mix with fingers to break up any clumps.

    Depending on the cheese, you may want to pulse the blend in the bowl of your food processor a few times.

    Dry steaks and dredge in the rub and press into the meat.

    Let rest in the fridge for at least 30 minutes or however long it takes to get your grill ready for direct grilling.

    I use charcoal and that takes at least 30 minutes.

    Clean and oil yor grill grates when the coals are ready.

    Grill each steak for 6-8 minutes per side, depending on the thickness.

    My steaks are usually thicker, so we grill all 4 sides.

    Grill to perfection!
