Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • garlic
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 2 c. canned tomatoes
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 lb. lasagna noodles, cooked
  • 1/2 lb. Mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 c. cottage cheese
  • 1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

    Season meat with salt and pepper and brown.

    Add garlic, onion and pepper. Simmer slowly, uncovered, for 10 minutes.

    Stir in tomatoes and tomato sauce; cover and simmer. Pour 1/3 of meat sauce into a 12 x 8-inch baking dish.

    Cover with strips of lasagna noodles.

    Add Mozzarella, Cheddar and spoonfuls of cottage cheese.

    Repeat layers, ending with meat sauce.

    Top with Parmesan cheese.

    Bake for 1 hour at 350°.
