  • 1 lb. hamburger
  • 1 Tbsp. basil
  • 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
  • 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
  • 1 (10 oz.) pkg. lasagna noodles
  • 2 (12 oz.) cartons (3 c.) creamed cottage cheese
  • 1 lb. Mozzarella cheese, sliced thin
  • 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

    Brown meat; drain off excess fat.

    Add basil, 1 1/2 teaspoons salt, tomato sauce and paste. Simmer until thick.

    Cook noodles, drain and rinse.

    Combine cottage cheese, eggs, 1 teaspoon salt, pepper and Parmesan cheese.

    Place half of noodles in 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan.

    Spread half of cheese mixture over noodles, half of Mozzarella and half of meat mixture.

    Repeat layers.

    Bake in 375° oven for 30 minutes.

    Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.
