Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground chuck
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. salad or olive oil
  • 2 (6 oz.) cans tomato paste
  • 3 c. water
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 8 oz. lasagna noodles
  • 1 small box cottage cheese
  • 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp. oregano
  • 1 tsp. sweet basil
  • 1 pkg. dry spaghetti mix
  • grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 Tbsp. sugar

    Preheat oven to 350°.

    In large, heavy pan mix ground chuck in hot oil.

    Saute onion and garlic until brown.
  4. 4
    Add tomato paste and sugar.

    Fry for a few more minutes and add water and other ingredients, except Parmesan cheese and lasagna noodles.

    In separate pan, cook lasagna noodles in hot salted water; when done remove from fire, drain and rinse until cooled.

    Add 1 layer noodles and layer of sauce.

    Continue until all is used.

    Add the cheese to top.

    Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes.
