Lavender Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. flour
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. chopped lavender leaves
  • confectioners sugar and rosewater

Directions

    Preheat oven to 375°.

    Put eggs, margarine, sugar and lavender into blender and run on low until well mixed.

    Sift flour, baking powder and salt into a mixing bowl.

    Add other ingredients and stir until blended.

    Drop dough by 1/2 teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet.

    Bake until lightly browned; cool on rack.

    Blend enough rosewater into the confectioners sugar to make a smooth frosting.

    Ice cookies and let them sit until frosting is firm.

    (I add food coloring to make them lavender.)

    Can also decorate top with edible flowers.
