  • 1 head lettuce
  • 1 c. diced green pepper
  • 1 c. diced celery
  • 1/2 pkg. peas, cooked and cooled
  • 1/2 c. diced onion
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 c. mayonnaise
  • 6 oz. Cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 6 slices crisp bacon, crumbled (or bacon bits)

Directions

    In large bowl, layer in first 5 ingredients.

    Sprinkle sugar on top.

    Evenly spread mayonnaise on top.

    Cover.

    Refrigerate 24 hours.

    Toss just before serving.
