Layered Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 large head lettuce
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/4 bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 pieces celery, chopped
  • 12 boiled eggs
  • medium jar bacon bits
  • bag shredded cheese
  • 1 lb. frozen green peas
  • 2 c. mayonnaise
  • 1 c. sugar

Directions

    Layer lettuce, onion, bell pepper, celery, 6 chopped boiled eggs, 1/2 bacon bits and 1/2 cheese in large casserole dish, add on top frozen peas.

    Mix mayonnaise and sugar.

    Pour over top of peas, spread to make smooth.

    Slice remaining eggs, lay on top, spread remaining cheese and bacon bits.

    Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving.

    The longer it sits, the better.

    You can use low-fat shredded cheese and low-fat bacon bits and the flavor will not be effected.
