Ingredients

  • 1 small head lettuce
  • 1 c. celery, diced
  • 1/2 c. green pepper, diced
  • 2 bunches fresh green onions, diced
  • 1 can water chestnuts, cut up
  • 1 bag frozen pears or box, not thawed
  • 2 c. Hellmann's mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 3 to 4 hard-cooked eggs
  • 8 slices crisp bacon, broken up
  • 4 oz. grated Cheddar cheese
  • 3 tomatoes, cut-up

Directions

    Mix sugar and mayonnaise and spread all over.

    Layer the lettuce in and all the other green things, then put 3 or 4 hard-cooked eggs, sliced, over it.

    Then bacon and cheese.

    Cover tightly with Saran Wrap and refrigerate 8 to 12 hours or overnight.

    Add tomatoes and serve.
