Layered Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 head lettuce
  • 1/2 c. chopped celery
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. green pepper
  • 1 (10 oz.) box frozen green peas (raw)
  • mayonnaise or salad dressing
  • 2 Tbsp. bacon bits
  • 1/4 c. Parmesan cheese

Directions

    Use a large, deep salad bowl.

    Tear lettuce into small pieces; place in bowl.

    Add celery, onion, green pepper and raw peas. Spread mayonnaise or salad dressing over top of peas to seal top of mixture, about 1/4 inch thick.

    Sprinkle top with bacon bits and Parmesan cheese.

    Cover.

    Refrigerate at least 2 hours or overnight.

    Toss before serving.
