  • 1 1/4 c. Burgundy wine or cooking sherry
  • salt and pepper
  • potatoes
  • 8 oz. can mushrooms (stems and pieces)
  • 2 cans golden mushroom soup
  • carrots
  • onions
  • 4 small turnips
  • celery
  • herbs; sweet basil, thyme, rosemary, tarragon, dill weed, and broken bay leaves (pinches of all herbs)
