- 6 c. water
- 1 c. margarine
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1/8 c. salt
- 2 c. milk
- 8 c. American Beauty potato flakes
- 2 c. flour
Directions

1Boil water, margarine, sugar and salt.

2Remove from heat and add milk and potato flakes.

3Mix well and chill for 12 or more hours (but not more than 24 hours).

4Add 2 cups flour just before rolling out the lefse.

5Form into balls, keeping them well chilled.

6Roll out as thin as possible on a floured cloth covered board.

7Use a rolling pin sleeve.

8Lift with a lefse stick.
-
9Bake on a hot lefse grill until brown spots are visible.

10Flip over and bake so done on both sides.

11Cover baked lefse immediately after baking.

12Wrap in plastic when cool.
-
13May be frozen.

14Makes 50 rounds of lefse.
