- 2 c. Pillsbury's Best all-purpose flour or unbleached flour
- 1 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 1/2 c. powdered sugar
- 4 eggs
- 2 c. sugar
- dash of salt
- 5 Tbsp. lemon juice (juice of 2 lemons)
- 1/4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- powdered sugar
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2(Lightly spoon flour into a measuring cup; level off.)

3Combine flour, butter and 1/2 cup powdered sugar.

4Mix thoroughly and press into ungreased 13 x 9-inch pan. Bake 20 minutes.

5Meanwhile, mix egg, sugar, salt and lemon juice. Fold in 1/4 cup flour and baking powder.

6Pour onto hot crust; bake 25 minutes longer.

7Cool; cut into squares and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

8Makes 2 dozen.
