- 1 c. margarine
- 3 c. sugar
- 4 eggs
- 3 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1 c. buttermilk
- grated lemon rind
- 1/2 c. lemon juice
- 1 c. chopped pecans
Directions

1Blend margarine, 2 cups of sugar and eggs.

2Sift next 3 ingredients together, add alternately to cream mixture with buttermilk.

3fold in lemon rind and pecans.

4Pour into 2 well-greased loaf pans.

5Bake 1 hour at 350°.

6Mix remaining sugar and lemon juice.

7Spoon over hot bread.

8Cool 1 hour before serving.
