  • 2 lb. chicken, boned, skinned and cut in bite-size pieces
  • 2 Tbsp. light soy sauce
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 egg, beaten with dash of salt
  • 1 c. water and 1 1/2 c. water
  • 2 Tbsp. tapioca starch or cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp. white vinegar
  • 6 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. lemon extract
  • 2 lemons, sliced
  • fresh broccoli
  • fresh cauliflower

    Marinate chicken pieces in light soy sauce for 1/2 hour. Prepare batter with flour, baking powder, egg and 1 cup water. Dip chicken in mixture and deep fry at 400° for 5 to 10 minutes, until golden brown.
