  • 2 to 3 lb. frying chickens, skinned and cut up for barbecue
  • 1 cube butter or margarine, melted with 1/4 c. lemon juice
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/4 tsp. paprika
  • 1/4 tsp. garlic powder

    Soak chicken in oil for at least 1/2 hour before cooking; drain well.

    Mix spices together.

    Grill chicken 15 to 20 minutes on both sides.

    Turn and baste with lemon butter sauce; sprinkle with spices.

    Cook for 10 minutes.

    Cook for 10 minutes. Entire cooking time should be from 1 hour and 10 minutes to 1 hour and 20 minutes, depending on how well done you want it.
