- 2 to 3 lb. frying chickens, skinned and cut up for barbecue
- 1 cube butter or margarine, melted with 1/4 c. lemon juice
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1/4 tsp. paprika
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
Directions

1Soak chicken in oil for at least 1/2 hour before cooking; drain well.

2Mix spices together.

3Grill chicken 15 to 20 minutes on both sides.

4Turn and baste with lemon butter sauce; sprinkle with spices.

5Cook for 10 minutes.

6Turn, baste and sprinkle.

7Cook for 10 minutes.

8Turn, baste and sprinkle.

9Cook for 10 minutes. Entire cooking time should be from 1 hour and 10 minutes to 1 hour and 20 minutes, depending on how well done you want it.
