Lemon Jello Fruit Salad

  • 2 small boxes Jell-O, prepared per box directions
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 (20 oz.) can drained crushed pineapple (save liquid for topping)
  • 3 tart apples, pared, cored and chopped fine
  • 3 bananas, diced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 2/3 c. pineapple juice
  • 1/2 c. finely chopped walnuts and/or a maraschino cherry (optional)

Directions

    Prepare the Jell-O.

    Add 2 tablespoons sugar, drained pineapple, apples and bananas.

    Pour into oiled Pyrex dish and refrigerate overnight.
