Lemon Pound Cake

  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 3 c. and 6 Tbsp. cake flour
  • 3 c. granulated sugar
  • 2 sticks of butter or margarine
  • 1 pint of sour cream
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon flavoring
  • 1 tsp. butter flavoring
  • 1/4 tsp. almond flavoring

    Grease and flour a tube pan.

    Cover bottom of pan with waxed paper.

    Preheat oven to 325.

    Cream together butter and sugar. Add one egg at the time to the mixture, beating after each one. Add flavorings and baking soda.

    Beat well.

    Alternate flour and sour cream in 3 to 4 additions, beginning and ending with flour. Pour into pan.

    Bake at 325 for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
