- 3 3/4 oz. lemon juice
- 1/4 c. butter, melted
- 1/2 tsp. crushed thyme
- 1/8 tsp. liquid pepper sauce
- 1 (2 1/2 lb.) fryer, quartered
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Combine lemon juice, butter, thyme and pepper sauce in a small bowl.

2Sprinkle chicken with pepper.

3Place chicken, bone side down, on grill over hot coals.

4Brush with basting sauce.

5Grill for 40 minutes, turning once.

6Baste frequently with sauce.

7Serve with remaining basting sauce.

8Makes 3 to 4 servings.
