- 1 1/2 cups lentils, red (masoor dal)
- 1 medium onions chopped, sauted
- 1/2 bunch scallions, spring or green onions chopped
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 tablespoons sweet red bell peppers
- 1/4 cup parsley leaves chopped
Directions

1Rinse lentils to remove stones.

2Wash until water is clean.

3Cover lentils with one inch of water and cook until thick and heavir than cream soup.

4Add bulgur.

5Stir.

6Add red pepper, sauted onions, raw green onions.

7Cool.

8The bulgur cooks during the cooling.

9Form into desired shape, either into little felafel sized balls or into one big mound/pattie.

10Garnish with sprigs of parsley and if you made a big mound, pieces of green pepper.
