  • 1 pkg. lentils, washed and inspected
  • 10 c. water
  • 6 pkg. George Washington broth
  • 6 large potatoes, cubed
  • 1 large onion
  • 4 c. carrots, shredded
  • 2 c. fresh parsley
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. thyme
  • 1/2 tsp. oregano
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • 1/2 c. lemon juice
  • 1/2 cube margarine

Directions

    Cook lentils 30 minutes in water.

    Braise onion and garlic in oil; add to lentils with vegetables.

    Cook 45 minutes; add seasoning, margarine and lemon juice.
