- 2 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. light corn syrup
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. real butter
- 2 c. half and half
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
Directions

1Combine sugar, syrup, salt, butter and 1 cup half and half in a large heavy saucepan.

2Stir constantly until mixture comes to a full boil.

3Gradually add remaining half and half so that the boiling does not stop.

4Continue stirring to hard boil.

5Remove from heat.

6Stir in vanilla and nuts.

7Pour into buttered 8-inch square pan.

8When cold, turn out on cutting board and cut into squares.
