Linguine With Broccoli

- 1 lb. linguine
- 3 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
- 3 large cloves garlic, minced
- 3 scallions, chopped
- 1 large head broccoli, cut into florets
- 1 c. chicken stock or bouillon
- 1/2 c. fresh basil, finely chopped
- 2/3 c. freshly grated Romano cheese
Directions

1Cook linguine until al dente; drain.

2Saute garlic in olive oil for 1 minute.

3Add scallions and broccoli, stirring to combine. Pour chicken stock over mixture and cover.

4Cook for 2 minutes or until tender, but still bright green.

5Add basil, then toss with linguine and Romano cheese.

6Season with hot pepper flakes, if desired.
