  • 4 oz. lean ground beef
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (8 oz.) can lower sodium tomato sauce
  • 1 (6 oz.) can lower sodium tomato paste
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1 tsp. dried basil, crushed
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 4 lasagna noodles
  • 1 slightly beaten egg white
  • 1 c. nonfat Ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 c. part skim Mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tsp. grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp. parsley, snipped

    Cook meat, onion and garlic until meat is brown. Drain off fat.

    Stir in tomato sauce, paste, water, basil, salt and pepper.

    Bring to a boil and reduce heat.
