Macaroni Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 (1 lb.) pkg. small elbow macaroni
  • 1 large green pepper, chopped
  • 1 medium sweet onion, chopped
  • 3 medium carrots, shredded
  • 1 tsp. salt and pepper
  • 1 can Eagle Brand milk
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. cider vinegar
  • 2 c. mayonnaise

Directions

    Cook macaroni and cool with cold running water.

    Mix sugar with vinegar to help melt, and combine rest of ingredients.

    Chill 4 hours or overnight.

    You can substitute pickle juice or red wine vinegar for the cider vinegar.

    This is great for a large family gathering or party.

    (Will make 1 gallon.)
