- 34 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon kirsch liqueur
- 12 teaspoon salt
- 3 eggs
- 3 cups flour
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 lemon, zest, grated

6Stir in flour till no longer sticky--may need more flour.

7Knead gently--don't over handle or dough will get tough.

8Refrigerate overnight.

9Grease cookie sheet next day.

10Roll dough out to 1/4 inch thickness.

11Cut out with small cookie cutters.

12Leave 1 inch between cookies.

13Beat together egg and water; brush on cookies.

14Bake 15 minutes in 350F oven or until golden.
