  • 2 lg. onions, minced
  • 2-1/2 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 2-1/2 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp. Dijon mustard
  • 1-1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2-1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 3/4 cup cider vinegar
  • 1/2 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp. maple syrup

Directions

    In a large heavy saucepan combine the onions, oil, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, broth, vinegar and maple syrup.

    Bring mixture to a boil.

    Simmer, stirring occasionally, for 50 minutes, or until it is reduced by 1/3.
