Ingredients

  • 1 c. milk, scalded and cooled
  • 2 pkg. yeast
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. warm water
  • 4 to 5 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. butter
  • 2 tsp. salt

Directions

    Dissolve yeast in warm water; add to other ingredients.

    Knead and let rise until double in bulk.

    Roll out and cut into strips. Let rise a second time, then fry in hot fat.

    Cool and frost with your favorite maplene frosting.
