  • 1/2 cup Land O Lakes Butter, softened
  • 1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 1 Land O Lakes All-Natural Egg
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans

    Heat oven to 350F.

    Combine butter and 1/3 cup brown sugar in small bowl.

    Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy.

    Add flour; beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, until mixture forms a dough.

    Press evenly into ungreased 8-inch square baking pan.

    Prick with fork.

    Bake 20 minutes.

    Meanwhile, combine 1/3 cup brown sugar, maple syrup and egg in small bowl; mix well.

    Spread topping over hot, partially baked shortbread; sprinkle with pecans.
