- 2 1/3 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. maple syrup
- 2/3 c. light corn syrup
- 1/4 c. water
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 egg whites
- 1 c. broken pecans or walnuts
Directions

1Combine first five ingredients in 2-quart heavy saucepan. Cook, stirring, until sugar is dissolved.

2If sugar crystals form on side of pan, wipe them off.

3Continue cooking, without stirring, to hard ball stage (265°).

4Spread on greased cookie sheet.
