- 5 cups quick-cooking oats
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1 cup walnuts
- 1 cup wheat germ
- 34 cup oat bran
- 12 cup flax seed meal
- 13 cup dark brown sugar
- 1 cup skim milk powder
- 12 cup vegetable oil
- 12 cup maple syrup
- 12 cup light syrup
- 1 teaspoon maple flavoring
Directions

1Preheat oven to 250 degrees.

2Chop walnuts.

3Combine all dry ingredients in a large bowl with wooden spoon.

4Add oil, syrup and maple flavoring.

5Mix together thoroughly using the back of a spoon.

6Distribute the mixture evenly onto 3 cookie sheets.

7Place in the oven and bake or 45-60 minutes stirring every 15 minutes.

8I often stir mine only once so I get big chunks in my granola.

9Once you take the granola out of the oven, cool completely before eating or storing in an airtight container.
