Ingredients

  • 2 qt. oysters
  • 1 1/2 c. vegetable oil
  • 1 c. fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 Tbsp. lemon pepper
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 1/2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp. dill weed
  • 5 drops Tabasco sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. black pepper
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • fresh bunch parsley, tops washed and snipped from stems
  • soda crackers

Directions

    Simmer oysters in large pot in own juices until edges curl but oysters are still very plump, approximately 10 minutes.

    Drain in colander and cool.

    Check for shell pieces, but do not rinse. Place oysters in glass dish in single layer.

    Mix all ingredients except crackers.

    Pour over oysters.

    Refrigerate 12 to 24 hours covered with plastic wrap.

    Turn oysters at least twice.
