Marshmallow Icing

Directions

   Place sugar and water in saucepan.

   Bring to a boil.

   Pour sugar mixture into bowl with egg whites.

   While still warm, add cream of tartar and vanilla.

   Beat until icing is cool.

   Frosts 2 (9-inch) layers.
