- 8 or 9 large potatoes
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 pt. half and half or milk
- 1/4 lb. Cheddar cheese
- 1 c. fresh bread crumbs
Directions

1Boil potatoes only 10 minutes with jackets on; cool.

2Peel and grate potatoes.

3Melt 1/2 cup of butter or oleo and add cream. Grate the cheese.

4Layer potatoes, cream mixture and cheese in 3 layers.

5Top with fresh bread crumbs.

6Bake at 350° for 1 hour in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
