Ingredients

  • 1 doz. fried meatballs
  • 1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
  • 3 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. basil
  • 1 Tbsp. oil (reserved from frying meatballs)
  • 3 large potatoes, cut coarsely
  • 4 carrots, cut coarsely
  • 1 onion, cut coarsely
  • 1 stalk celery, cut coarsely

Directions

    Blend flour into reserved oil.

    Stir in tomatoes and remaining ingredients (except meatballs).

    Simmer 10 minutes, adding water if necessary.

    Pour over meatballs into crock-pot and cook at least 5 hours.
