- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 c. quick cooking oats
- 1/2 c. light brown sugar
- 4 (1 oz.) sq. semi-sweet chocolate
- 1/3 c. unsifted flour
- 2 Tbsp. milk
- 1/4 tsp. salt
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Grease 2 cookie sheets; set aside.

3In a medium saucepan, melt butter.

4Remove from heat.

5Stir in remaining ingredients, except chocolate.

6Drop batter by level teaspoon 2 inches apart on cookie sheet.

7Bake 6 at a time.

8Bake 7 to 9 minutes or until lightly browned.

9Remove from oven.

10Let stand for 1 minute, then quickly remove to flat surface to cool.

11Melt chocolate over hot, not boiling, water.

12With small spatula, spread chocolate on one cookie and sandwich with another.
