- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp. cold water
- 1/2 c. boiling water
- 1 tsp. lemon juice (optional)
- 3 egg whites
- 6 Tbsp. sugar
Directions

1In small pan, mix cornstarch and cold water until blended. Stir in boiling water and cook over medium heat until comes to a boil.

2Stir until thick (about 2 minutes).

3Remove from heat and let cool.

4Add juice to egg whites and beat until stiff. Gradually add sugar, beating well until whites stand in peaks. Add cornstarch mixture all at once and beat until well blended.
