- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 3 egg whites, at room temperature
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
Directions

1Cover a cookie sheet with brown paper.

2Draw 8 (3-inch) circles on paper; leave 1-inch between each.

3In a small mixing bowl, beat egg whites, vanilla and cream of tartar until soft peaks form.

4Gradually add sugar, beating on high speed until stiff peaks form.

5Pipe or spoon onto brown paper.

6Bake at 300° for 30 minutes.

7Turn off oven and let shells dry with door closed for at least 1 hour.

8Peel off brown paper.
