- 2 c. cornmeal
- 1 can creamed corn
- 2 eggs
- 2/3 c. melted shortening
- 1 (4 oz.) can green chili peppers
- 1 1/2 c. shredded cheese
- 2/3 c. buttermilk
Directions

1Combine all ingredients in bowl, except for cheese.

2Mix well. Pour 1/2 batter in a hot greased 9 or 10-inch pan.

3Sprinkle cheese on top and cover with remaining batter.

4Cook at 450° for 40 to 45 minutes.
